When Sergio was a child, he suffered a serious illness. To raise enough money to fund his son's treatment at an American hospital, Jesús robbed banks. At his bedside, he told Sergio about his robberies and his dreams of robbing a mint one day.
On February 5, 1987, Jesús Marquina was shot dead by police in front of the Spanish-American bank that he was robbing.
