Mari Carmen is the ex-wife of Deputy Police Inspector Ángel Rubio.
Biography[]
Mari Carmen was married to Ángel. However, she knows that her husband has had feelings for his colleague, Raquel for many years, so she holds a grudge against her.
On Sunday October 23, 2016, she called her husband when he went to the pharmacy in Palomeque.
During the heist at the Royal Mint of Spain, Ángel is distraught when Raquel suspects him of being a mole and confesses his love for her. He claims that he would leave Mari Carmen instantly if Raquel was willing to be with him. However, while driving, Ángel loses control of his car and ends up in a coma.
Shortly after the accident, Mari Carmen visits him in the hospital and meets Raquel there. Mari Carmen criticises Raquel for the fact that Ángel has ben in love with her for so long, implying that she is responsible for the accident. She confides in Raquel that she has waited 7 years for Ángel to get over his feelings for her.[1]
Later, Mari Carmen leaves Ángel.[2]
